Strawberry Hill House
A weird and wonderful example of the very English Georgian Gothic Revival style. This was Horace Walpole’s summer House in Twickenham near London. The later addition of the fire stair caught my eye, beautiful iron lace work (and a very fecund looking veggie garden underneath it). The tea and cake from the cafe was fantastic, well worth a visit if you are ever in the vicinity.
Architectural photographer Kilian O’Sullivan is in the midst of producing a beautiful and rigourous set of images documenting the extensive renovations that have been going on over the past couple of years.
