We stopped in Gunning NSW last week to get one of their amazing lamb burgers from the Old Hume Cafe. This sign/ piece of condoned graffiti caught my eye, a confident statement.

I love them, this one is at the National Art School in Darlinghurst. The Balustrade provided inspiration for the Alice Springs House.
More walls that I like. This one is opposite St Vincents in Darlinghurst.

12 Foot Skiff National Champions
This weekend Jonathan Temple (a member of our studio) won the 12 foot Skiff National Championships with Richard Jones. They won 5 of the 6 races and came 3rd in 1 race.
Alice Springs House
Just waiting for the windows and then we have lock up.
We have just installed stainless steel mesh on the north side of our building. It was suggested by one of us here that we put it up with a slight bagginess, or a bit of drape. We think it looks wonderful. We have recurring themes around here of bagginess, slippage, loose fit and now we’re demonstrating it on our building. And it works exactly how we’d hoped- it cuts out the glare, but not the light.
Look out for the baggy mesh again, done differently and more extensively, on the Alice Springs house.
